Project: A Separation

This is my project for one of my classes. Here, we were tasked to create a movie poster along with a supplemental illustration for Asghar Farhadi's film, "A Separation" (2011). We were only allowed to use found objects within our home college to create our images. This is 100%  no ink, no paint, and no editing (except for the text which was added later on).
Here is my movie poster. The scene I depicted here is one where Termeh must decide who she wants to live with after her parents' divorce.  I used a red leaf to represent the mother, the green leaf to represent father, and the leaf in the middle to represent Termeh, the child caught in the middle. In the end, her decision doesn't matter anymore because either way, her family is forever broken and can never be the same again.
This one is my supplemental illustration. The scene I depicted here was the court scene where Nader (the father) and Simin (the mother) were filing for divorce. There is clearly a line already dividing them to show how different they have already become thus, causing their separation. Here, I quoted Nader saying to Simin, "I did not get you by force and I am not going to keep you by force."
